Big Todd is right about the laid back ride. I have ridden this route a lot. I don't go to G.R. unless I take Leonard. Not the longest, or the windiest road, but just a lot of fun to ride. You can't ride down this road without coming across another rider enjoying it.

If you want to avoid Grand Haven in this route.Or stop there and want a more interesting route back, this is it. Unfortunately I don't know all of the street names. Go accross the drawbridge and take the first left, at the light. Keep going, past Fricano's, turn left at the empty gas station/hiway inn intersection. You are looking for Mercury Dr. It will take you on the backside of Grand River bayou country. Big sweepers and twisties through here. Need to watch for people hauling boats. You take the last right by the party store. Straight ahead is dead end. Then you are on 120th ave and will get to Lake Michigan Dr. in a couple of miles. There are quite a few 90 degree corners through here. Amatuer Hardly Ableson riders might want to stick to the freeways. Riders ride, posers pose.

Nice route. Good way to avoid the heavy Grand Rapids to Grand Haven traffic along I-96 and along M-45. Where else can you ride to Berlin* in an afternoon without needing a passport.
For you history buffs, the present day village of Marne was formerly called Berlin, until a couple of World Wars came along.
