Here's another ride I do a couple times a year. Starting from the BP in Sugar Grove, head south on 47, and after the underpass, take the second right - should be Prairie St. Zig zag that to Mighell, Jericho, Ashe, and onto Galena westbound. You're on this for a while. It turns into Chicago Rd. and keeps right on keepin' on. It eventually tees into County Hwy 6. Hang a left and it turns back into Chicago Rd again. In Paw Paw, pick up a few snacks or refreshments - but don't consume them yet. Back on Chicago Rd westbound, cross I-39, and behold the windfarm. Pull off on Bingham, a gravel road, and take your break in the shadow of the hypnotic turbines. Back on the road, now called Shaw, you'll continue all the way into sleepy Amboy. Cobblestone streets slow you down naturally all the way back to the 1800s. Putter through town, and continue west and south along Rockyford Rd. Stay on it until it ends, then zig-zag your way south and east as shown to La Moille Rd, aka County Rd. 20 or 3000 E St. Turn north and go all the way to Tower Rd. There's an enticing-looking pub on the corner, but hang a right and keep going to Green Wing Rd, where you'll hang a left and jog up to 52. You'll see more wind turbines, and if they have any blades on the ground, you may be surprised just how long they really are! Take 52 almost all the way into Mendota before turning north at 251. Take 251 north to US Rt. 30, turn back east, and enjoy the ride back to Sugar Grove.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
