Nice sweeping roads, rolling hills, and watersports - all in a day's worth of riding in the nation's heartland. From Mondamin, IA through the Loess Hills across the Missouri into Nebraska. Following HWY12 towards Crofton, then straight North to Yankton, SD. On the way home, enjoy the 70mph speed limit between Yankton, SD and Vermillion, SD, the head South back into Nebraska, and finally down HWY75 to Decatur, NE, where we cross the bridge ($0.75 toll per car/motorbike) back into Iowa. Pull into beautiful Lewis & Clark State park for a final break, and on home we go...

I took this route before I even knew about this website. The Iowa Loess Hills Scenic Byway isn't well marked but definately worth it if you have the time. Lots of curves and plenty of trees. Also the rolling hills in NE Nebraska are great.
