What if I don't know the address?
No problem, just hit "Load the Map!" and we'll load the map so you can manually navigate to your starting point.
What if I only know some of the address?
Hey, we're here for you. Fill out as much as you know and we'll try to zoom the map in to your starting location on what you gave us!
When you say GPX file, what does that mean?
GPX is a standard file format that most GPS devices support. Specifically, we currently support GPS "tracks"
from GPS devices (GPS "routes" are coming soon). 95% of the time the software that came with your GPS device will save your
GPS track data as a GPX file. Simply open up your software, choose save track, and choose GPX as the file format - then
upload it to OpenRoadJourney.
There are a lot of different GPS devices out there and we are constantly upgrading the site to handle different
types.
Here's the bottom line, if you run into any problems at all, please drop us a note ()
so we can make sure the site handles your GPS files!
My GPS just tells me where to go, it couldn't help me understand what you just said above, what do I do?
Drop us a note at and we'll take a look, we'll even draw your route out for you and give you the credit! We'd love to hear from you because it helps us grow!
